24th March 2023, Karachi: The Sindh Information and Science Department is collaborating with Tech Valley Pakistan to distribute Google Career Certificates Scholarships in Sindh. An MOU was signed between the Information, Science and Technology Department, Sindh and Tech Valley, which will provide a significant boost to the workforce in the region.

The program aims to empower graduates and college students by offering them a chance to learn and enhance their skills. Information, Science and Technology Department, Sindh is committed to enabling the employees and students of the Sindh to acquire the skills needed for the future. This initiative is a continuation of the government’s mission to empower its workforce and promote growth and development.

Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of Information, Science and Technology Department, Sindh for fostering this collaboration. The ceremony was attended by CM Special Assistant Tanzila Habiba, Chief Secretary Sohail Rajput, Secretary Colleges Ahmad Bux Narejo, U&B Secretary Mureed Rahmoon, Head of Techvelly Pakistan Sobia Ikram, CEO Umer Farooq, Google project specialist Timothy Polani, Google’s Country Lead Pakistan Haris Sufian and others.

Moreover, the department is proud to announce the scale up of Google CS First and Be Internet Awesome program in continuation of last year’s pilot project. Previously, more than 250 students and 100 teachers have been trained in CS First and Be Internet Awesome, which is a significant step towards the transformation of the education system in Sindh.

The Sindh Government’s continued efforts in promoting education and technological advancement have yielded significant results. The recent collaborations with Google for Education team are a testament to the government’s commitment to the development of its people and the growth of the region.
